Were I offered a chance to go for a trip in space, my definite answer would be yes. What child hasn't wanted to blast off among the stars, and see the earth from above. Of course, I do realize that there are real risks to this, and it's not just fun and games. I do gather that there is a chance that something would go terribly awry, but I think it's worth the risk just to have the amazing feeling of weightlessness and knowing that you are above everything on earth.

I think that if I was offered to go to space, I would accept because it is a one in a lifetime opportunity to go.It would be cool to visit a new place and who knows, I might discover or see something that scientists have been trying to find for years. I have always wanted to go to Mars ever since I was little and it would be a really exciting trip for me. I have heard people say that there might be living things out there so I want to go and see if the rumors are true or not.It would also be really awesome to float around because there would be no gravity.

If I was offered a trip on a space ship just for tourism I would decline. The first reason is because I'm afraid of heights and that is totally the ultimate height! Okay getting serious. Now think about all the fuel that is needed. Sure if you can afford it no problem right? Wrong! All those CO2 emissions are just going to mess up our atmosphere even more. Think of all the resources it took to make the spacecraft. Most of it will fall off once you get into space and it will just be left there as space waste and who knows what all it will do in twenty to a hundred years time. Safety hazard is another problem. With spacecrafts being made more often, like the mass production of goods, they aren't going to be looked over as carefully as at NASA and that could lead to problems. They have people's lives on the line and the producers could become a huge target for lawsuits if they are not careful.

I would gladly accept the opportunity to travel in space. It is an unusual experience but it is worth the investment. It would be beneficial to learn and actually see the different planets and galaxies. In school, all we do is look at the images in text books, but if I actually got to explore space and wear an astronaut outfit, I would definitely learn more and go deeper about knowing how space exists and works.

If I was asked to travel in space and see "the new frontier", I would accept this amazing offer. I personally think that it would be a once in a lifetime thing to do. I am interested in space, planets and so on, and it would be really cool if I had the chance to see it firsthand for myself. Along with most things, it would be way better to experience it rather than just see pictures of it on the internet, or in books, or see videos. You don't get the same feeling. I don't think it's like the actual thing, seeing pictures and so forth, but experiencing it is a million and one times better. Plus, it's not something everyone out there does, I don't think a lot of people you see on the streets or your friends have been to space. It'd be cool to be one of the few who HAVE experienced it. So to sum this up, I would accept this offer.

I would decline the invitation. I understand that there are many people out there that would love the excitment of being in space and seeing everything that most people do not have the money to see, but I cannot bring myself to sit in an aircraft for six days, so that I can see the moon, and what the earth looks like from that high up. Technology is now so advanced that I can go into google and see the exact same thing but for free without the mental stress of being cooped up in a small space.I really would not like to be doing my own thing and having too many people watching me. It wouldn't be worth it. Besides what I have going for me on earth seems alot better than seeing the world from high up. Science is interesting but I enjoy reality and gravity.

If I was to be offered the opportunity to travel in space, I would definitely accept this invitation. There are not a lot of people on Earth who have had this amazing oppurtunity. It would be an honor to do so. First as a member of the human race, second as a Canadian and third, as a 13 year old who has only seen space in books, movies, and his dreams.

I would accept the invitation to go to space because it would a very amazing experience. To see the real planets and be closer to the stars would be great! Who knows what it will be like in many years; would there be more spaceships or would there be any at all? That's why I would go, because it would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

If I were invited to travel to space, I would agree. Space travel would be a once-in-a-lifetime thing to do, and I am sure it would be amazing. I mean, who hasn't ever wondered if there was life beyond Earth, if all those tiny stars we see from down here are the homes to other life forms?
Although you could not find this out from just travelling to space, I believe it would be an amazing trip. Seeing space would be so exhilarating... no noise whatsoever. No atmosphere. Just rolling, empty space... how amazing would that be?

If I was asked to accompany an astronaut to space, I would decline the invitation. The reason for this is because I do not want to put my life on the line to go on this exciting but risky trip. Although this adventure is a one in a life time chance, I would rather be on the ground in a safe home then up in space. For giving me the chance to go up in space with no boundries, I would thank the whole team.

I would have to decline. All I can think of is "what is out there is out there" and does not involve me. The cost of going up into space for even one day could support many different people who could use the money. Even if kids dream of being close to the stars that is not for me.

I would say a whole hearted yes! Space is out there, just waiting to be examined. We could help out with stuff that Galileo and others started. It would be so exciting in zero gravity, with stars, the sun, and everything right there. When would you get another opportunity like this? "Seize the day!"

I would decline the invitation to travel in space. Although I would be disappointed to miss out on such an exciting opportunity, I think space travel should be left for astronauts. Astronauts are not going to be wasting their time in space. They are going to be using the time to discover new things and improve technology. Tourists will only be enjoying themselves. They will not contribute to science. Actually, they will cause major problems. More people traveling in space means more spaceships traveling in space, which means more carbon dioxide pollution. This will affect the environment, and all who inhabit it, in a negative way. By choosing to go in space, you are damaging your life and the ones’ whom you care for. Also, the cost and resources needed to make the expeditions possible are enormous. I do not think people should spend their money like this. Instead, they should use it wisely, by donating to poverty and environmental organizations, or even to space programs. The extra money will provide space programs a better opportunity to enhance space exploration, and, therefore, knowlegde. This will result in less pollution and superior technology, which would account for a better quality of life.

If I were given the opportunity to go into space, I would accept, because it is a once-in-a-lifetime chance. Firstly, I could also see what the Earth looks like from above, not to mention I could feel the zero gravity of space. I could make incredibly high jumps! Secondly, it would be cool to fly between planets and see stars, comets, and meteors. I might even discover new planets and stars! Thirdly, it would be cool just to be in a spaceship while it’s operating, and see all the controls and things. There could be really massive engines, and really cool touch-sensitive controls! These are the reasons I would go into space.

If I were given the opportunity to go into space, I would accept. Sure, you have to go through harsh tests and training, but you're going into space. It might be boring, but you get to see the stars, the Earth, and all the other planets from so close. I might even be able to walk on the Moon, and there is no beating that.

If money was a factor, I would decline this invitation. I think there are more important things to spend my money on than going into space for all of 2 days.
If money WASN'T a factor, I would accept this invitation, because it would be an expericence of a lifetime. Plus, some people have gone hangliding, some people have flown a plane, some people have gone skydiving. But how many people in the whole, the entire world, have gone into space?

I would accept because this could be a great experience and I would be able to literally see the world from a whole different point of view. I think that space is definitely a desirable place to be because we can really see how the world is and how small we all really are. I also would want to learn a lot from an experience like this through training or dealing with technology up there.

That decision would be made on the circumstances at that time. I agree completely that the idea of blasting off to space is an exciting one at that, but it is not simply done. The trip costs alot of money, requires incredibly rigorous training both before the trip and during, and the trip would most likely take a long time (months would be the average for these types of trips). As much as I hate to sit on the fence for a topic like this,I honestly can't give a firm decision.

I think that space tourism is a great idea. The people that can't be astronauts or don't want to be astronauts but have had the dream to go to space their whole life can fulfill their dreams. It can be really expensive but it is worth it if you have wanted to go there your whole life. I haven't had the dream ever to go to space and space doesn't really interest me so if I had an offer to go to space I would turn it down so someone with a bigger interest and a dream to go to space has the opportunity to fulfill their life's dream. I think that it's a great idea but it is really dangerous and they shouldn't start this tourism untill all the malfunctions are resolved so not as many lives are at stake.

If I were given the opportunity to travel in space I would be thrilled and would accept the invitation. I would accept the invitation because for me to travel in space would be absolutely breath taking. It would be wonderful to see what outer space is like and how it's like. It would be awesome to see planets like Mars or Neptune. I would love the feeling in my stomach when the space ship takes off. I would love to go to space and I am sure you would too!
