Canada is heading to the polls September 20. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited Governor General Mary Simon on August 15 to formally request an election. The 36-day campaign decides who leads the country for the next few years.

“The various parties are putting forward very different ideas about how to get through the end of this pandemic and mostly how to build a better future for everyone,” said the prime minister. “This is the moment, as we approach the end of this pandemic, where Canadians should have their say.”
