The federal government is fuelling a move to clean, green electric vehicles (EVs) as part of its plan to reduce carbon emissions and Canada’s reliance on fossil fuels. The April 7 budget provides additional incentives to purchase EVs, as well as funds to build additional charging stations and develop a supply of EV batteries.

“We know we need to cut emissions. We know we need to reduce pollution,” said Prime Minister Trudeau. “And one of the best ways of doing that is to get more clean cars on the road.”
