Over one billion people worldwide use TikTok each month.

On February 28, the Canadian government banned TikTok from government-issued devices. Three days later, every province and territory except Ontario, Nunavut, and Northwest Territories had followed suit.

The popular social media app has also worn out its welcome with other governments. The U.S., E.U., and a growing list of other nations won’t let government employees use TikTok on work phones and tablets, either. Some cities, police forces, colleges, and universities have banned it, too.
